Rufiji River Camp is located directly on the Rufiji River on a headland. The banks of the river are home to numerous animals, which can even be observed from your own tent. The camp’s location also makes it an ideal starting point for safaris in Nyerere National Park.
The tented camp is located in Nyerere National Park in the east of Tanzania. Situated slightly elevated on a headland on the banks of the Rufiji River, it is ideal for game viewing. The river is home to x different species: from crocodiles sunbathing on sandbanks to hippos grunting and splashing around before sunset. The forest area around Rufiji River Camp is also home to monkeys and up to 400 bird species. Nyerere National Park is also home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population.
