What a location! Entamanu Ngorongoro Camp is spectacularly enthroned on the crater rim of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, high up on a remote plateau. Whether sunrise over the crater or sunset over the Serengeti savannah: the view from here, where the wind blows over the plateau and your eyes gaze into infinity, is simply unrivalled.

Top location at Entamanu Ngorongoro Camp
In addition to its location, Entamanu Camp also impresses with its personalised and atmospheric ambience. The airy entrance area of the main building leads into two spacious lounges and the dining area. Weathered wooden floors, large carpets and cosy seating convey a sense of comfort.
Both the lounges and the restaurant are wonderful places to socialise with other guests or guides. The food at Entamanu Ngorongoro Camp is delicious and plentiful and is served at the long communal table. Guests enjoy full board. Those on excursions during the day can enjoy a picnic lunch for the necessary refreshment.

Seven tents with hot water and wood stove
The seven tents in which guests can spend the night are all well thought out and furnished with lots of natural materials. They have comfortable beds, a private bathroom with hot water and a long terrace. As the lodge is located at an altitude of 2200 metres and the temperatures here can be rather cool, each room is also equipped with a wood-burning stove.
Apart from its great location, Entamanu Ngorongoro Camp is also a first-class address due to the short drive to the crater entrance. If you get up early, you can easily make it to the crater floor before other tourist groups. Incidentally, the crater area is one of the richest regions in Africa for wildlife. The chance of encountering lions, rhinos, elephants and many other animal species is therefore almost guaranteed.

Impressive hikes from the camp
Game drives depart daily from Entamanu Ngorongoro Camp. Impressive hikes can also be undertaken from the camp with a Maasai guide over the crater rim to a nearby Maasai village. Last but not least, not far from the Ngorongoro Crater is the historic Olduvai Gorge, also known as ‘The Cradle of Humankind’.
